B.E.A.R. Overview:
The Bridging Evidence Assessment & Resources (BEAR) Center is a joint program between Children’s Specialists Medical Group of Sacramento and Sutter Medical Center Sacramento since 2004. As Medical Director, Dr. Angela Rosas provides services and oversees a team of specially trained nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Referrals to this program come from medical providers and public agencies. What We Do:
• Non-surgical pediatric gynecology
• Non-invasive colposcopy
• Child abuse assessment, including physical abuse and neglect
• Child, adolescent and adult forensic medical examinations for sexual assault
• Forensic medical case review

Dr. Rosas’ interests lie in child abuse assessment, non-invasive pediatric gynecology, drug-endangered children, and forensic medical evaluations. Special interests are in child abuse and domestic violence prevention/education and collaboration with community partners.
